ArtBeam: Welcome
ArtBeam workshops use Soundbeam 6 technology equipment, along with storytelling, art, music, percussion and puppetry to give participants of all abilities the opportunity to access music-making activities. These can be one-off events or a four-part project, and workshops are based on a theme, eg Summertime, Scottish Myths and Legends, or Folk Tales from Around the World. Generally we end the project with a performance for an audience, giving the very excited participants the chance to show off their talents!
The projects are particularly suited to groups of children or adults with complex additional support needs, but can also be adapted to suit Early Years and mainstream primary, and community groups such as adult day centres and those living with dementia. All workshops offered can be tailored to suit the needs of the group, eg theme, timescale and content.
Costs are individualised to each project but a general guide is £60 per hour, all materials and travel expenses included. A workshop may last from one hour to an hour and a half, and will be planned after dialogue with the group organiser. Travel time, set-up and clearing away time may need to be added to the time of the workshop.
